To qualify for the Lifeline program, you must participate in one of the following programs:
- Medicaid
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Veterans Pension or Survivors Pension Benefit
- Section 8
- Social Security Income
- Tribal Programs
- BIAGA
- Food Distribution on Indian Reservations Program
- Tribal Head Start
- Tribal TANF (TTANF)
Or you must have a household income that is at or below 135% of the federal poverty guidelines.
If you don’t qualify for Lifeline through any of the above programs you still may possibly qualify for the Affordable Connectivity Program through WIC, Pell Grant, National School Free Lunch Program (NSLP), or you can have a household income that is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines which allows more families to qualify through income alone.
