How New Jersey Residents Can Qualify
You can easily qualify for the Affordable Connection Plan in two ways.
The first way is if you are already getting help from another program on the list:
- The National School Lunch or Breakfast Program
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (Food Stamps or SNAP)
- Veterans Pension and Survivors Pension Benefit
- Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance
- Pell Grant
- Medicaid
The second way is by making under a certain amount of money per year. The following is an EASY Chart to see if you are eligible by household income amount.
Things to remember
You may need to show a card, letter, or official document as proof that you currently participate in one of these programs when you apply for the ACP.
You need to supply a copy of your last year’s tax return or three consecutive pay stubs to prove income.
Only one person can qualify for the ACP per household.

Do I need good credit?
You do not need good credit to get your free phone service, and we do not run credit checks.

Do I need an email address?
You will need a valid email address to get our phone service. If you do not currently have an email address, you can create one for free in just minutes. We suggest you create one with Google, known as Gmail, using these steps:
